1 / 4Ocean Park
đ Aberdeen, Hong Kong Island
Full-day theme park in Aberdeen combining roller coasters, marine life exhibits, giant pandas, and a cable car with panoramic ocean and mountain views. Rides span toddler-gentle to thrill-seeker intensity.
Such a fun day out! We visited in January, which meant the weather was cool and comfortable and there were hardly any lines. We could stroll around at our leisure without the crowds and got up close to the animals. We even feed a sea lion! Rides were fun and we walked straight on without lengthy waits. The staff were helpful and lovely, only complaint was the lack of vegetarian food offerings. Highly recommend as a fun and cheap alternative to Disneyland.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 3 and up who want a full day combining animal encounters with theme park rides. Families visiting in January or February benefit from short queues and cool weather. Toddlers get dedicated gentle rides; teens find sufficient thrill-ride variety.

âNice park. Really cute animals including pandas, dolphins, sharks, fishes, penguins and more. Unfortunately the orcas have passed away. The rides range from toddler friendly gentle rides to intense roller coasters. There are also observation towers and ferris wheels that are designed for all ages. The MTR has a station right next the the park entrance, and is super convenient.â

Overview
Ocean Park packs giant pandas, dolphins, penguins, sharks, and a Grand Aquarium into a sprawling hillside park alongside coasters including Hair Raiser. The cable car connecting the two halves of the park delivers outstanding views over the South China Sea and surrounding peaks. Ride intensity spans from gentle toddler attractions to serious thrill rides, making it a genuine all-ages destination. A January visit draws notably thin crowds and cool, comfortable temperatures.
