Where it all began

Family Action began when our founder, John, tried to find one reliable place to browse family activities online. He wanted a simple way to compare options—from indoor play centres to outdoor adventures—without jumping between dozens of sites.

So he built Family Action: a practical guide made by a parent, for parents.

What we do

We list family-friendly venues and activities across Hong Kong’s major cities. Each listing includes ratings, photos, opening hours, pricing and accessibility details to help you plan ahead.

Looking for a rainy-day option, a weekend outing, or something for the school holidays? We’re built to make it quicker to find the right activity—without the endless scrolling.

Our platform

Family Action is a technology company. We build the software that powers our directories across eight countries—Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates—all from a single platform.

Our technology automatically discovers thousands of family-friendly venues, verifies their details, and uses artificial intelligence to assess suitability, generate descriptions and maintain data quality at scale. Every listing is continuously updated so families can trust what they see.

Venue operators can claim and manage their own listings through a self-service portal, keeping their information accurate and up to date. We also build our own analytics and monitoring tools to understand how families use the platform and where we can improve.

Built for families

Planning an outing with kids is enough work already, so we focus on the practical details: kid-friendliness, accessibility, opening hours and cost. It’s all there on each listing, so you know what to expect.
