Amazing Asian Animals house the first family of 4 pandas in Hong Kong. Together with some other local Asian animal which aren’t the main highlight. You can request the staff here to help you take photo with with panda they know the best shot.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families wanting unobstructed panda viewing with staff assistance for photos. The open-air format suits all ages including toddlers in carriers. Visit this zone at multiple points during the day — pandas rotate between active and resting states unpredictably, and a return visit often catches one feeding.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Ask the panda enclosure staff directly for the best photo position — they actively help visitors
Pass through this zone at least twice during your park day to catch a panda active
🎟️Red pandas are typically more active and easier to observe than giant pandas
🚗Combine with Goldfish Treasures and Gator Marsh within the same zone to maximise time

Great to see the panda even we had to go three time on same day to see them two times sleeping and one time one of them was eating in his "house" and one was hiding. The red small one is cute too and easier to see moving even he seems lazy too ;)

The animal enclosure is open to the air, so you don't have to see the animals behind a glass window. The red pandas were quite active when I was there and their keeper also was feeding them and training them. The panda was also very active too, especially when compared to the panda in the other exhibit. The panda walked about his enclosure a few times, letting us get quite a few snaps of it lumbering about. The rest of the exhibit has a large variety of goldfish and koi which are kept in exquisite tanks which is also well worth a visit.

Amazing Asian Animals is the dedicated wildlife zone within Ocean Park where Hong Kong's first giant panda family of four resides. The open-air enclosure design means no glass barrier between visitors and the animals — reviewers specifically call this out as a standout feature. Red pandas are housed separately and were described as visibly active during keeper feeding and training sessions.
