1 / 4Sichuan Treasures - Ocean Park
๐ Wong Chuk Hang, Hong Kong Island
Dedicated habitat for giant pandas and Sichuan golden monkeys within Ocean Park. Pandas are most active at the afternoon feeding. Golden monkeys are lively throughout the day, including frequent glass-charging behaviour.
This is the โpanda houseโ in Hong Kong ocean park. Feeding time is around 1:30pm hence is best to visit that time but must be there earlier. Other than that the panda mostly just stay put and sleep in cage.
๐ Family Action Verdict
Best for families already visiting Ocean Park who can time their visit to the afternoon panda feeding. Children engaged by active animals will get more from the golden monkey enclosure than the pandas. Families arriving in the morning risk finding enclosures empty or animals hidden from view.

โ5 stars for the monkey Mainly due to the fact that the male monkey kept jumping at the tempered glass. Very intriguing, cute monkey(just the small one) 3 stars for the panda Lazy pandas, but what can I expect they are just pandas. Kept on hiding in the cubby.โ

โSuch an enormous area for the pandasโ

Overview
Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures houses giant pandas in a spacious enclosure alongside a troop of golden monkeys. Pandas are largely sedentary and tend to rest for most of the day โ the afternoon feeding is the best window to catch movement. The golden monkeys are the livelier draw, with the male regularly charging the tempered viewing glass. Morning visits have resulted in no animal sightings for some visitors. Conservation messaging focuses on endangered Sichuan species.
