📍 Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon
Large free public park in Tsim Sha Tsui with a children's playground, turtle ponds, bird aviary, shaded walking paths, and art installations. Open to all ages. Parking on-site.
Kowloon Park is such a peaceful escape right in the middle of the city. It’s beautifully maintained, with plenty of greenery, shaded walking paths, and open space to relax. The mix of gardens, ponds, and little tucked-away corners makes it feel much bigger than it is. It’s a great spot to slow down — whether you’re going for a stroll, sitting by the water, or just taking a break from the busy streets around it. A really refreshing contrast to the energy of Hong Kong.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of any age who need green space without paying for it in central Kowloon. Toddlers have safe open areas to move freely. Children aged 5–10 enjoy the playground and pond exploration. Early morning visits offer the calmest experience; weekend afternoons draw larger crowds and remain manageable.

“Green shade in a city! A place for ease of mind. I come here on Sunday morning with a cup of flat white & a bag of sweet cookies for people-watching. Nearby fountain. A fountain spray to touch my face gentry on lightly sunray.”

“I went for a walk at Kowloon Park over the weekend. The weather was pleasantly cool, and although there were quite a lot of people, it was still enjoyable. I spent time strolling and sitting in the area with big trees, which felt really refreshing compared to the city where there’s more dust and the sky isn’t so clear. The park also has cute art installations scattered around different corners, which are fun to see. Even though I’ve come across them many times, I never get bored.”

“Our visit to Kowloon Park caught us in big surprise. It offers a level of serenity and peacefulness in the middle of a busy city. Many people take rest on benches. It also has areas for children’s playground and a pond with turtles. The comic figures are a great highlight of the visit. We enjoy the walk and the quietness of the Park.”

Overview
Kowloon Park delivers a genuine green escape inside the most densely built part of Kowloon. Children can use the playground equipment — slides and swings — explore the bird aviary, and spot turtles in the park's ponds. Open grassy areas are large enough for running and ball games. Shaded walking paths and tucked-away garden corners make the park feel considerably larger than its footprint. Comic figure sculptures and art installations add visual interest for children moving between areas.
