1 / 5Aviary, Kowloon Park
๐ Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon
Free walk-through aviary in Kowloon Park housing 70 birds from 16 species across seven landscaped enclosures, including blue-and-yellow macaws, Victoria crowned pigeons, and cockatiels.
You can walk amongst the birds inside the mesh tent. Pretty cool experience. Be aware of its 9-5 operating hours though! Itโs shorter than most other HK attractions. And itโs free!!
๐ Family Action Verdict
Best for young children who respond to colourful, close-range wildlife encounters in a contained, walkable space. The free entry and 20โ30 minute format makes it an easy addition to a Kowloon Park visit. Pair with the park's flamingo pond and outdoor sculptures for a longer outing.

โAmazing, and completely free, canopy walk in the middle of town. You forget that you are not in a jungle. The aviary is huge and there are many different kinds of birds, from smaller sparrows, to orioles, to beautiful parrots.โ
