๐ Sai Wan Ho, Hong Kong Island
Explore Hong Kong's film heritage through exhibitions, artifacts, and special screenings in this dedicated cinema museum.
A hidden gem for film lovers. The Hong Kong Film Archiveโs small cinema is perfect for speciality screenings โ I went for a few Korean indie shorts and really enjoyed the experience. The space is quiet, intimate, and well-suited for focused viewing. Bonus points for the open area outside the theatre, which is great for small chats before or after the show.
๐ Family Action Verdict
A worthwhile free cultural experience for families interested in film history and Hong Kong culture.

โI grew up with the Hong Kong classics of the 80's. Although the exhibitions are quite small, it's absolutely worth the trip; and it's free afterall. Exhibitions change quite often and there are often some really interesting screenings.โ

โThe Hong Kong Film Archive is a nice place to visit if youโre a fan of HK Cinema. Thereโs a permanent exhibition in the lobby commemorating the former Queenโs Theatre. The projector is very interesting! There is also an exhibition space that has different exhibits each season.โ
