1 / 4Coombe Road Children's Playground
📍 The Peak, Hong Kong Island
Free outdoor playground in two connected sections near Wan Chai Gap, with slides, swings, climbing equipment, eight picnic tables, a water dispenser, and a nearby snack kiosk. Free parking available on holidays is competitive.
In weekday, its almost like your private playground. There is a small store selling snacks and light meal. It difficult to find a car park on holiday.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 2–10 who want outdoor space without crowds on weekday visits. The picnic tables and snack kiosk support longer stays. Combining a play session with the adjacent Police Museum works well for older children. Holiday visits require early arrival for parking.

“A big playground for kids to run around. There are 2 sections of the playground where gm you can cross the street to reach another section with more facilities to play with. There is a store selling snacks and light food in case you didn’t bring any. It’s very close to the police museum which is perfect when your kids are exhausted from running around and needed a place to wind down.”

“Great place for kids, cheap parking. Around 8 picnic tables, good for outdoor kids party.”

“Excellent playground that is well kept. Spacious enough for children to play around and there is a water dispenser to refill your water bottle. On the opposite site of the road is a food kiosk where you can get drinks and snacks and reasonably clean toilets around the block. I would suggest bringing a lot of mosquito repellent as there are a lot of midges lurking around, ready to jump on whoever that passes the playground.”
