I visited with my 2-year old for a trial music class and had a great experience. I booked on a weekday around a week in advance and had no trouble getting in, although I noticed that other classes had already filled up. Upon arrival, the staff were so friendly in greeting us and had prepared a name tag for my daughter. During class, the instructor was patient and made an effort to call out and engage every child. After class, the instructor came to ask about my experience and share feedback about my child's engagement in the class -- including recommending that she was more than ready for the Level 2 class (2-3 year old) rather than the Level 1 (1-2 year old) that I had signed up for. This was helpful as I had been on the fence about which level to join as my child's age was right in between the two levels. The playroom itself is smaller than I expected, but I appreciated having access to it as part of the music class experience. Location is on the 1st floor (up one flight of stairs, with a lift available) and was not hard to find - the playroom was visible from the street with the large windows, with clear signage inside the building as well.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for parents of 0–4 year olds who want music education woven into social play rather than a standalone class. The Kindermusik program is the primary draw — the playroom and café make the surrounding time equally valuable. Families seeking a broad instrument range from day one may find early-stage classes focus on rhythm basics before expanding.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Book trial classes at least a week ahead — popular time slots fill before the week begins
Check the class schedule before visiting the playroom; structured sessions and free play operate on separate timetables
🎟️The café is open during playroom sessions, making simultaneous coffee and supervision genuinely practical

My 4 year old has been going to Baumhaus for class and the playroom since he was 4 months old and absolutely loves both. This was on the recommendation of my in-laws who's daughter loved their classes too. The teachers definitely know what they’re doing and have the most beautiful voices. Kindermusik is the only class I’ve signed up for for my 6m old. I find it’s the only class he really responds to. He’s smiling for 45 mins and actually responds to the teacher. We also love how you get free access to the playroom if you sign up for the class. As a bonus, there's a cafe with a pretty good menu. My son loved the babycinno there and for parents to grab a coffee before class.

I am both a mother of a toddler and an infant professional who has worked with the Baumhaus team. As a mum, I love the Baumhaus space. It has a lovely open ended play area which my daughter loves to explore while I enjoy a barista coffee. The food is good quality and value, with excellent options for kids. The space is bright and the staff are incredibly friendly. As a professional, I have been really impressed by the knowledge and ethos of the staff at Baumhaus. Every activity in their classes is carefully chosen and has a solid basis in musical education. I always learn something new when I work with the team, and just love how they incorporate that knowledge into every careful and considered choice that they make. I can highly recommend Baumhaus.

Overview

Baumhaus pairs a bright open-ended playroom with a structured Kindermusik program taught by trained instructors with — according to multiple reviewers — genuinely impressive singing voices. Classes for the youngest age bands incorporate instruments, movement, and song in sessions designed around developmental stages. The playroom uses age-appropriate equipment that encourages exploratory rather than directed play.
