Amazing experience, we really enjoyed this day out. Highly recommend booking through klook as it prevents delays and too much queueing. Beautiful views and lots of spots for great pictures with your loved ones, a must do activity!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 5 and above who can appreciate the aerial perspective. The glass-floor crystal cabin delivers the most memorable experience for older children and teens. Children with a fear of heights should take the standard cabin.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Book crystal cabin tickets online well in advance — standard cabins are easier to obtain on the day and the glass floor experience is worth pre-planning
Purchase tickets through official channels or Klook to bypass the longest queue sections on arrival
🎟️Bring a camera or ensure phone storage is clear before boarding — the mountain and ocean views demand it
🚗Factor time for both the village and a walk to the Big Buddha, which extends the visit significantly beyond the cable car itself

Visiting Ngong Ping 360 was a highlight of my trip to Lantau Island! The entire experience—from the cable car ride to the scenic views at the top—was absolutely stunning. The ride itself offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountains, ocean, and Hong Kong International Airport. It’s about 25 minutes long, giving you plenty of time to take photos and just enjoy the calm, scenic journey. I visited on a weekend, so it was a bit crowded and we had to wait in line for the cable car, but the staff managed everything smoothly and efficiently. Once we were on board, the slight delay was definitely worth it—the view of the Big Buddha in the distance was unforgettable! At the top, the Ngong Ping Village is charming, with plenty of shops, cafes, and cultural spots to explore. The area feels peaceful and well maintained. Walking up to the Tian Tan Buddha and visiting the nearby Po Lin Monastery made the trip even more special. I’d recommend going early in the day to avoid the biggest crowds and to enjoy the cool morning air. Overall, Ngong Ping 360 is an incredible attraction—beautifully organized, scenic, and a perfect way to experience the natural side of Hong Kong. Definitely a must‑do and worthy of a full five stars!

This is a highly recommended destination in Hong Kong. Purchase your tickets in advance to avoid longer queues. A standard cable car journey to Ngong Ping Village offers extraordinary views of Lantau Island, the airport, mountain peaks, and lush green vegetation. The ride lasts approximately 25 minutes and transports you to the magnificent sight of the Big Buddha, a truly breathtaking sculpture. Upon arrival at Ngong Ping, you will find various other tourist attractions and shops within the village, but the Big Buddha is undoubtedly the main highlight. Be prepared, reaching the Big Buddha at the summit requires climbing approximately 225 steps. Overall, it is an experience well worth having.
