I had a great time at the M+ cinema. When I was there, I enjoyed exploring the theater's amenities (including a film library featuring rare, hard-to-find films), and chatting with the M+ staff, who were all really friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. The screening room itself is comfortable. (I don't know why people are complaining about the seats tbh, they're not bad at all.) Good sound system and large screen, so it allowed me to really get immersed in the film. In addition to showing movies digitally, they can do good old film projection, which isn't super common anymore. I was there for an arts program, but it would be a good environment to watch all kinds of movies, including a blockbuster. This place is a little hard to find, but once you're there, it's worth it. Highly recommended for fans of art cinema, or movies in general.

๐Ÿ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families with older children aged 10 and up who are already engaged with art, film history, or cultural programming โ€” and for parents who want to expose kids to cinema beyond blockbusters. Check the schedule in advance as programming is specialist by design. Younger children and toddlers are poorly served by the seating format and content.

โ„น๏ธ What to Know Before You Go

๐Ÿ’กCheck the M+ Museum website for the current screening schedule before visiting โ€” programming is specialist and changes regularly
โฐArrive early to browse the film library on-site, which holds rare titles unavailable on streaming platforms
๐ŸŽŸ๏ธSeating has a shallow rake โ€” aim for the back rows to avoid sightline issues caused by front-row heads
