1 / 5Hong Kong Space Museum
๐ Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon
Hong Kong's iconic egg-shaped space museum features interactive exhibits, planetarium shows, and hands-on activities about astronomy and space science.
That was a stunning place, large and well invested. The content about science is not really suitable for younger kids (grade 4 below) except the kids are keen on Science, space and stuff. I chose the 3D movie experience and the movie was about solar system. It was great. However, the content about solar system was not new to us, so I wish I could have chosen the documentary about elephants. Entrance fee is free for my daughter (6years old), only for adults. The tickets for the show is reasonable and many promotion for HK residents.
๐ Family Action Verdict
An excellent educational destination for school-age children interested in space and science, with impressive planetarium shows and interactive exhibits.

โ*I've loved space stuff since I was a kid, and I enjoyed this museum. It provides a very hopeful look at the future of humanity and China's role in it *It's not obvious that you need a separate ticket to see the movie, which I suggest seeing--also, note that the movie starts on the hour, so if you enter at say 11:50am, go upstairs to the theatre (don't ask me why they don't include the movie in the ticket price) *the MFA is next door, so if you're doing museums on a rainy day, have lunch in between and then hit the MFA *the Bruce Lee Statue is very close by, literally in front of the Starbucks on the bay--go take your picture there! There is a "Walk of Fame" along the bay, so if you're looking for anyone special, see if they're there. If you're an IG model, you definitely want to take pics here. On a nice day, it's a great walk. It was even ok when I did it in the rain.โ
