1 / 5Airport Core Programme Exhibition Centre
📍 Ting Kau, New Territories
Educational exhibition center featuring displays about Hong Kong's airport construction and engineering marvels including the Tsing Ma Bridge.
If you want to enjoy a bit of tranquility while watching the sunset, this is definitely a hidden gem in Hong Kong. The exhibition itself is at least 20 years old. It is sad to see that many exhibits are not in perfect condition, but it's surely a place where people can get to know more about the construction of HKIA, as well as other world renowned infrastructure such as Tsing Ma Bridge, Ting Kau Bridge and the Airport Express. Would recommend both Hong Kong people and tourists to come since you'll never know, maybe this place is going to be demolished one day ...
🏆 Family Action Verdict
A worthwhile free educational stop for families interested in engineering and Hong Kong's infrastructure, though the aging exhibits could use modernization.

“Small exhibit with lovely views of the bridge, and detailed systems to understand the building of well as how the train systems work. It’s a quick walk through but very informative, and free entry”

“Hi, Agreed. Good to enjoy now before it may/will be destroyed eventually. I will drive there next week on Monday with some of my engineers. I came to Hong Kong 30 years ago to build these bridges as a Civil Engineer, so respect the expertise that was devoted to those projects. I really hope China may be able to leave our contributions to HK to see, for younger generations wonder at and perhaps encourage them into the same profession. Photo is not from there, but the other one nearer to Tsing Ma, updates next week”

“There are 2 locations where you can understand more about TsingMa Bridge and enjoy its spectacular view. This exhibition center is different from the one located in the north western coast of Tsing Yi Island and is more focused on its history and technical aspects. The center itself is an old building and is rather small. It has only about 10 parking space and it's usually crowded in the weekend.”
