1 / 5Thunderbowl
đ Hung Hom, Kowloon
Established 22-lane bowling centre with modern fibre lanes, fluorescent bowling option, VIP private rooms, billiards tables, and an on-site restaurant. Shoe rental available. Parking on-site.
It felt expensive just for one hour, but at least we had some fun.
đ Family Action Verdict
A reliable choice for families with children old enough to handle a standard bowling ball. Toddlers can join as spectators. VIP room bookings suit birthday groups wanting private lanes. Go on weekdays to avoid crowds and reduce the chance of lane allocation issues.

âThe attitude of the people are generally quite nice. The venue made me feel like I went back to 10 years ago. The only thing is we got arranged to a malfunctioned lane so some time was wasted to get it fixed but the uncle who helped repair it gave us an extra 5 minute and greeted us nicely. Hope the bowling bowls could be cleaned more often. Quite nice experience!â

âOne of a very few bowling places in Hong Kong. Charges are 280 Hong Long dollars per hour per lane or 55 Hong Kong Dollars per game per person which feels a bit expensive. 15 dollars extra for a pair of shoes. The place wasn't that lively when we visited. Balls were a bit greasy. Overall all it was fun.â

Overview
Thunderbowl is one of Hong Kong's larger bowling venues, running 22 fibre lanes across a full-service facility. Fluorescent bowling adds a visual twist for younger players. VIP rooms are bookable for private group sessions. The restaurant and billiards tables extend the visit beyond the lanes. Staff are generally noted as friendly and helpful â one reviewer received a complimentary extra time after a lane malfunction was repaired.
