“Sai Woo Lane Playground - Pickleball Last day in HK for pickleball [:sad face:], cheap booze, variety of shopping, and great food. My wife asked me this morning what was my most memorable experience—other than all the pickleball I’ve been playing in every country we’ve visited on this trip (see my review for SOAR Sports Macau). The default answer that popped into my brain was, of course, “All the time we spent together [:heart emoji:].” But obviously that would have earned me an {eye roll} and deservedly so. No, not because most of the time we spend together isn’t memorable, but it’s because we had many great experiences on this trip (reviews incoming). Anyhoosits, steering the conversation back to pickleball (sorry, honey), I joined a social play at Sai Woo Lane Playground this Saturday afternoon as my 2nd-to-last pickleball open play session, which I found through a new friend in HK (shoutout to Johnson, who’s like my main man now for PB in HK) and the Reclub app (thanks Kevin for hosting). Normally a basketball court surrounded by apartments, Kevin and volunteers put tape down (which is the local custom when they don’t have painted lines). Court surface was standard and, although some cracks were apparent, in good condition. We only had 2 nets but the space could have easily fit 6(?) courts. You can just figure out how many pickleball courts could fit on a soccer court and you’ll know what I’m talking about. Because we played during the afternoon, I couldn’t tell how good the lighting was. I will say I would not want to live in the apartments and housing right next to the courts. Haha. Also, they have bathroom and filtered drinking water (although bathrooms were closed for renovation when I went on 2025-12-06). Go Reclub app and figure out where to play next.”

“The small park has a tiny futsal pitch which is actually really good! The playground is very welcoming to young children, they really seem to enjoy their time playing there! However, after I had finished using the toilet there’s and wanted to wash my hands, there was no water!I had to run to a nearby shop to get some paper towels.Try using the toilet before you leave home and go to this park. The park is also next to Sai Ying Pun MTR station, but in reality,it takes 9 minutes to get to the actual station.Park is very easy to locate.”

“Small but quiet. Great place to enjoy lunch boxes at noon time, especially during Autumn and Winter.”
