Most people who go to this park probably don't know there was a long, rich history behind. The park was built in 1940 and opened in 1941. The front entrance was a Chinese-style gate that is made out of bronze. The park facilities have been destroyed during Japanese occupation and later it has been restored and reopened to the public in 1954 with 3 added Chinese-style gazebos. During the time of visit, there were a lot of children at the children's playground.

๐Ÿ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families combining a Jordan or Tsim Sha Tsui itinerary who want a free outdoor break with young children. The playground suits ages 2โ€“10; basketball and football facilities extend the visit for older kids. Check equipment condition before young children play โ€” one reviewer flagged maintenance gaps.

โ€œThis small park is a hidden gem amidst the bustling city streets. The well-maintained facilities including basketball courts and artificial football pitch are perfect for sports enthusiasts. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, clean restrooms, and drinking water stations. The park caters to everyoneโ€”from elderly enjoying morning tai chi to children playing at the playground. Its convenient location near MTR stations makes it easily accessible. A wonderful community space with rich history and character.โ€

โ€œA big rest area next to busy Nathan road with children playground and basketball court. This is to my surprise. Easily reachable by buses and MTR from everywhere. Food court, TST, Jordan, YMT and Temple night market in 5 to 10 minutes walking distance.โ€
