1 / 4King's Park Recreation Ground
๐ Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon
Elevated park in Yau Ma Tei featuring a shaded playground under mature trees, jogging track, steep staircase workout route, and tennis and basketball courts with city panoramas.
Great spot for some light or heavy exercise. There is a jogging track on top of the hill and a steep stairs leading up to the mountain. I found it really good for a workout. It was also nice to sit and watch other people do taichi and other exercises, as someone who was holidaying in Hong Kong, I don't get to see that often.
๐ Family Action Verdict
Best for active families who want a quieter alternative to busier Kowloon parks. The shaded playground suits toddlers and primary-age children, the jogging track suits adults, and the steep staircase appeals to older kids and fitness-focused parents. Use the MTR to Jordan or Yau Ma Tei stations and walk up.

โspacious without the crowd. Tennis basketball playground for people to enjoy. Will even be better if the snack kiosk is opened.โ

โKing's Park is a peaceful sanctuary perfect for exercise and outdoor activities. The running track at the hilltop and surrounding stairs provide excellent workout options, while the shaded playground with mature trees offers a cool retreat on sunny days. I appreciate the spacious layout and low crowds, ideal for basketball, jogging, or morning tai chi. Watch out for mosquitoes and slippery stairs during rain.โ
