1 / 5Cityplaza Ice Palace
๐ Quarry Bay, Hong Kong Island
The sole ice skating venue on Hong Kong Island, located inside Cityplaza mall in Quarry Bay. Public sessions run daily with skate rental available, plus structured coaching programs for all skill levels.
place is nice and spacious. a bit crowded during the weekends. with DJ and good music. would be 5 stars if they offer newer shoes
๐ Family Action Verdict
Best for Hong Kong Island families for whom crossing the harbour to Kowloon Bay is inconvenient. Weekend evening sessions offer the best entry value. Families wanting more ice space and newer equipment should weigh up the trip to Mega Ice in Kowloon Bay instead.

โThe only ice-skate ground on the Island side, like others mentioned it's nice but small and crowded as it wasn't built for such demand in the beginning. Anyway, nice place to spend time with your kids. Weekend has $10 off per head after 17:00โ

โLooks fine, didn't ice skate here though. That bear looks so smug while showing off his cheeks. What's going on?๐โ

โToo crowded, not enough seats for skaters to rest and wear skates. The shoes are not comfortable. But the price is cheap, just 70 for 2hrs. There are too many people on the ice and the skating school occupies too much space! Also the facilities are shabby and the locker costs you $11 for a single use. The rink in Elements is far better than ice palace.โ

Overview
Cityplaza Ice Palace is the only ice rink on Hong Kong Island, making it the default choice for Island-side families. The rink features DJ music and lighting during public sessions. Coaching programs cater to beginners through advanced skaters. Skating school lessons occupy a portion of the ice during sessions, reducing available space for casual skaters on busy days. Rental skates have been described as older and less comfortable by multiple reviewers.
